Child Support Agency

In my line of work, I get to hear the most amazing stories and I have to try to help people clear up mess made by idiots wearing suits which, is why I hate them!

I'm sharing this one because other people will be affected by it

A divorced man with 2 children (17 & 20) receives a letter telling him that he had rang the CSA, told them he had a son and that he wanted them to take money directly from his benefit to pay for child support. HE DID NOT RING THEM AT ALL! On asking why they sent this letter he was told it was standard initial communication. If this wasn't scandalous enough after paying his way until the letter said he had to he rang the CSA up to confirm that the payments were stopping on the date they said they would, July 7th 2006 - 4 months off his son's 19th birthday.

He was told that his son had left home in March 2006 and the payments should have stopped but the computer was not letting them stop the payments so it had made him over pay £80. He was then told they would write to the Benefits Agency telling them to stop taking payments out of his Income Support (he is disabled). Imagine his horror when the following day he received another letter from them, this time with a new payment schedule saying he had to pay maintenance until July 07 - 8 MONTHS AFTER HIS SON'S 19TH BIRTHDAY!

He rang again and was told it was the computers fault and if he wanted his money back he would have to write an official complaint to customer services!

3 weeks later, he receives YET ANOTHER LETTER telling him they had a new payment schedule and again he would be paying maintenance until 7 months AFTER his son's 19th birthday. Is it a coincidence that this mans problems started when David Henshaw became associated with the CSA?

The point of this story is if you are dealing with this agency make sure you know your rights and it may be worth contacting the CSA now and again just to check that your children's circumstances haven't changed because they won't tell you!

Anti Social behaviour Unit

Today I was visited by the ASBU and someone from Liverpool City Council. I have been keeping log numbers for 2 years now and, after suffering a nervous breakdown and ending up on medication I decided to start taking direct action.

The ASBU Enforcement Officer told me he drove down my street last night at around 7.30 and it was nice and quiet. This is because the little darlings don't congregate until at least 9pm and they then start causing havoc right the way up until 11.30pm.

What was promised?

A letter is to be sent out to all residents explaining what to do and who to contact if they feel harassed, intimidated by or witness Anti Social Behaviour. The youths causing the trouble all live in this road and their parents are turning a blind eye to it - hopefully, this letter will make them think twice before dumping their offspring in the street.

The ASBU enforcement Officer is also going to speak directly to the 2 families that are causing the most problems - mainly using a Japanese Akita to intimidate us. The police have told the owner on 3 occasions to stop allowing children to walk the dog as they tell it to fetch and it has already bitten a child. If they are seen with the dog by the ASBU EO, he will have it taken away and put down - I don't think this is fair being a dog owner myself but at the end of the day, someone is going to get seriously injured by this animal - it is a pitty it can't be rehomed though..

This is the first step - they reckon it will go quiet for a month or 2 then start up again hence me starting this Blog.

How do I feel about this?

Well, after trying to get help from various sources over 2 years and basically hitting a brick wall I feel a little more optimistic this time. I had tried my 3 Housing Officers (it is a very quick turnover!), my housing manager the police and 2 local councillors and all that happened was a sign being put up saying 'all ball games prohibited'. 'Shame may restrain what law does not prohibit. — Seneca (4 BC-65 AD)' The parents around here have no shame that is for sure. It is funny though how when walking down the street they feel the need to keep their heads down, usually texting someone on their phone - all so they don't have to look their neighbours in the eye!!

Profit before People

Well, this is my first post of many.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is the Suit Slayer or Ms Slayer to those in authority!

I have started this Blog because I have had enough of living where I am - I've been here since 1979, that's 27 years out of 30 and I've seen many changes and not one of them is for the better. I have informed the council of the nasty little parasites that live in my area and the ASBU (Anti Social behavior Unit) are coming to see me tomorrow. I intend to keep everyone up to date via this blog!

Back to my area!

At this moment, my area (Picton, which is actually Wavertree but the bit that is under the Bridge going toward Kenny) comes under the 'path finder' scheme, which is basically a form of social cleansing - strong words I know but it's true - this is what happens:

• Liverpool becomes the Capital of Culture for 2008
• Vast areas of social housing and homes owned by the working class just on the outskirts of the prestigious city centre are deemed unfit for human habitat - these are 1900ad Victorian terraced streets, built to a standard not seen today (beautiful, imaginative, large sculptured properties)
• Registered Social Landlords and the Council brick up their properties when a tenant moves out instead of re letting or selling it on the private market.
• The owner occupiers are then offered a pittance for their property - this is because their area is now a dumping ground, full of boarded up properties, drug addicts, thieves, anti social parasites etc.
• If they refuse, the Council gains a CPO (Compulsory Purchase Order) to force them out of their homes all the time claiming no one wants to live there and there is a 'Market Collapse'
• The land is stolen from the working class and handed over to developers who then cram as many flats (under the guise of 'luxury apartments') as possible on the site and sell them for quadruple what the Council paid for that patch of land.
• No more social housing is built and the area has been 'socially cleansed', allowing yuppies to take over.

  This is Edge Lane where they intend to widen the road by a couple of feet (if that) and to do that, all of these houses, those behind either side and those on Wavertree Road all need to be demolished. They will be replacing these beautiful houses with flats.
  

This is the Queens Road area of Bootle which has now been renamed 'The Gateway into the City' - to create their gateway, they need to knock these magnificent houses down and you guessed it, build some flats! This is Garston Under the Bridge - these houses are situated on the docks - the very same docks where 'luxury apartments' are springing up everywhere! Not much to look at but this area had a very strong community - something that is no longer wanted.

And finally Norris Green - we were promised new build social housing but now, since COC they can't afford it so the land will no doubt be given to a private developer who will only build private homes for sale - there is no profit in social housing!

I'll be covering more on this issue at a later date because I have lots of evidence to prove that the council and Registered Social Landlords (RSL's) are deliberately running areas down so that they can demolish and make a profit and it is scandalous.
